I would love to know what country this pattern is likely from (Ethiopia? Ghana?). If anyone knows if there is a cultural aspect to this long, narrow scarf, please let me know. NOT an expensive quality scarf, as it's new but flawed and has rough edges. No clue what the fabric is made of (polyester? Nylon? Silk?) But I DO know that it's stunning. My hope is that someone with African Heritage buys this, as I - as a white person - would feel ridiculous sporting this 😉 OFFERS WELCOME!

chaps555 Thanks for sharing all of that! Totally not guaranteed to be made there. Since it's African style though I thought it was a good idea to mention in for those doing searches and for those who aren't aware. Always great to learn more about this sort of thing :)

inspiriting Would guess that it was woven in Thailand and sold there. I have imported very similar designs. It probably is silk and has some kind of sizing to make it stiffer, hence the sharp folds. It’s possible to wash this silk but it would probably pucker as it dried unless hung to dry. Your price is very fair for the quality.
