NWOT Sterling Silver MONOGRAM pendant “N” Personalization, Monograms were a sign of upper class distinction and made popular for the public at large. Popular trend in the 70s and 80s! Unique rustic industrial design! Circle frame looks like a steampunk cogwheel or a radiant metal corona. Diamond cut edges catch the light. Post-apocalyptic feel via the stress and worry of the 1960s Cold War, 1970s disaster films, etc. Center letter has a beaded texture that imitates diamanté and catches the light! Wavy, pseudo serif old font. Smooth on the reverse. There are 2 marks on the reverse:“STER” and another mark that I can’t make out (“?ALV” ?) Beautiful rustic craftsmanship. Probably handmade in Mexico like our other silver pieces with these 2-part hallmarks. Vintage c. 1970s, 10 mm x 1 mm pendant. In original packaging and box: “Sterling Silver Alpha” Available letters - initials (initial): A, B, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, M, N, P, R, S, V. Missing: C, I, L, O, Q, T, U, W, X, Y, Z. Price is lower than our other genuine silver for two reasons. 1. Im only pricing for then pendant. 2. While you get the chain and original box regardless, this chain is very tiny and thin. I don’t think it’s practical to wear everyday and tangles even during handling. In my opinion. 16”, 1 mm Curb chain. Hallmark: on one of the clasps “STER” (plus a mark I can’t make out, see pictures).
