NWOT Upcycled Cotton Gauze Top

So originally, this was a longer mens button down that I happened to noticed at the store. I hemmed and I hawed and I decided I really loved the fabric and all the different colours of the tops, but when I tried them on I looked like exactly what I was; a small person in large clothes. Even the size small was huge on me. I turned this way and that in front of the mirror bunching the top and tying it up with a knot. That was it! I bought four of these, took them home, chopped off the bottom, added an elastic to snatch in the waist, rolled the sleeves, and changed the buttons. Voila! A great, cropped top that had all the charm of being boxy while still coming in at the waist. I thought if I bought this colour, I'd finally wear it, but no;) So I'm sharing my creation with my Posh pals! Under arm to under arm 19 1/2" Length 17" Shoulder to shoulder 20 1/2" (this is a drop shoulder) Waist unstretched 13" Comfortably stretched 16"
