NWOT old stock sterling and amethyst ring

NWOT this sterling ring has oxidized from sitting in my lid stock from my closed jewelry kiosk. I purchased many pieces of jewelry from a wholesaler who traveled through Thailand and Indonesia purchasing handmade sterling jewelry. I have polished this some and it can be worn with the antique look or you could polish it more if a shiny silver finish is the look you prefer. It will take a bit of ell ow grease and patience for that look. I think the style of the ring looks great with the oxidation- very Medieval 🏰. Size 6. With “amethyst” the story is about its name, derived from the Greek for “wine” and traces to an ancient belief that wine-coloured crystals can ward off drunkenness. The notion that amethyst is an antidote for intoxication is of course a myth, but the ancient Greeks, as we well know, were deeply into myths.
