It's really nice Very attractive. Classic beautiful ribbed glass (no glasses) The glass is ample thick without being overly heavy. The seal is tight & closes different then some I have seen across the top. It seals well It advertises, has a "carry" handle. Nice to have a short term carry for handling but I would not "carry it" by this handle. You can take apart the top, if required. *No, the mechanics do not go all the way through the glass making a leaking hole* (this was my first thought) Reviews are very high. Main complaints are about the closure. coming off or being difficult- this is a wonderfully made item that can be maintained, adjusted & or tightened. When I received this it was very very tight. I simply took it off & made some minor adjustments. Some customers stated it's not for carbonated beverages as advertised?
