NWT Filson Heavyweight Hand-knit Wool Fisherman Sweater in XS-S

The listed sweater is deeper drown. - Retailed for $500, discontinued - 100% Scottish wool (still smells like raw wool!) - Colour Peat (dark brown like dark-roasted coffee beans) - Size XS unisex; pit-to-pit 18.5”, length 24” approx. * I normally wear S and the sweater fits well and tight. The manufacturer that makes these sweaters for Filson is Inverallan Knitters of Scotland (though most of their sweaters are hand knit in India now). Their heavyweight sweaters should initially fit tight on your body because it will stretch and loosen over time due to its own weight. I’m from Japan where Inverallan sweaters are quite popular, and it is a common understanding to choose the size that feels quite tight on your body to start. There will be a “break-in” period because of this as well as its thickness, but it’s worth it when the sweater starts moulding to your body! This is truly a beautiful fisherman sweater. It’s very heavy and thick. I can still smell raw wool (which is lovely to me but may not be so to some.) I love the organic colour, just as the name “Peat” suggests. Please note, the sweater is not soft; it can be itchy and you’ll need a base layer to start. I can’t capture the true colour of the sweater.
