A true treasure. I was fortunate enough to purchase two brand new 70s suits after an expensive tailor in downtown Toronto closed and let go of their treasured pieces from the ‘vault’ from someone who was able to scoop them up. These pieces are extremely special and rare. I absolutely adore both suits, and truth be told this jacket is my favourite of the two - but the other is a better fit for me. When purchased these suits were unfinished as they all were made to order back then - and I since had the trousers that go with this jacket finished. I cannot tell you the incredible tailoring on all Of the pieces to this suit - I have many brands of suits in my closet from Banana Republic to Theory to Balmain and still none touch the compliments I have received for wearing the other suit that I purchased at the same time. Fully lined - this suit is the appropriate 70s polyester shell. The pocket and lapel details on this jacket are unparalleled This jacket was over $220 40 years ago - forty!
