charliky @funshop69 hi, no. it is in brass with rhodium plating. Brass is very hard and durable, more than sterling, and rhodium doesn't tarnish the way sterling silver does. I do carry many sterling silver rings, all are labelled so...and most are also rhodium plated too, for a non tarnish finish. hope this helps
