Naked & Famous True Grit Selvedge

The True Grit Selvedge is a 15oz Unsanforized Japanese selvedge denim. Couple hairy, short-staple cotton yarns and rattly decades-old shuttle loom to get a denim grain this uneven and gritty. The brown cotton weft comes from using rare undyed natural brown cotton yarns, which gives the fabric a warm, earthy undertone. Look harder at the back of the cloth to notice different shades of brown in the weft. As cotton matures, its color changes greatly, so the varying brown hues reflect the different maturities of the cotton plants when they were harvested to make this yarn to make these jeans. Because of this, no two pairs of these will be the same and they will be unreproducible because every shade in the weft is a reflection of when each individual cotton plant was harvested. Cut, sewn, built in Canada with contrast stitching, a Hair-On Bovine Leather patch, antique copper buttons and rivets. The Super Guy is a skinny fit with a medium rise, a slim top block, and a taper from knee to hem. Used but in great shape. Signs of wear and fading from normal wear. See photos. A 34 but fits more like 32.
