Near Antique (1930s) Alfred Meakin Royal Marigold Teacup & Saucer

This gorgeous teacup and saucer set by Alfred Meakin features a beautiful, quaint country cottage scene and gold gilt trim. It is estimated to be from the 1930’s, based on the backstamp and design. This would make a lovely addition to anyone’s vintage fine bone china collection. It could also be an excellent replacement piece for an existing Alfred Meakin Royal Marigold tea set. This teacup & saucer set is in great condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, or stains. There is very minor wear of the gold gilt trim, but overall it looks great for it’s age. The cup is approximately 8 cm (3 inches) diameter x 7 cm (2 3/4 inches) height. The saucer is approximately 14.5 cm (5 3/4 inches) diameter.
