Necklace with Priestly Blessings

This amazing 9K gold necklace features an adaptation of a small silver parchment inscribed with the Priestly blessing which was discovered rolled up in such a way that a string could be threaded through and the scroll could be worn on the body as a necklace or ornament. Two such scrolls were discovered at the Ketef Hinnom burial caves during the excavations that took place there in the 1970s. They are dated to 700 BCE at the end of the First Temple Period. These verses are the earliest examples we have of written Biblical texts.
