New vintage abalone shell cuff - bracelet UNIQUE BEAUTIFUL NATURAL FIND! Really comfortable, organic cuff bracelet in natural abalone shell. Very lightweight and easy to wear for any size with its thick stretchy elastic. Cut pieces of shell that are strung together. You can see the growth of the shell as nothing is uniform in shape or thickness. Lovely colours. The base of the shell is in golden to dark chocolate browns. The famous abalone shell has pearlescent greys, blues, greens, silvers, whites that flow and blend like the Northern Lights - Aurora Borealis! When they catch the light, it almost looks like they are glowing because of the natural lustrous nature. It’s all smooth and glossy so I believe it is finished with a lacquer or resin. New vintage c. 1970s. Genuine abalone shell. Finished with lacquer or resin. Thick elastic strings. Probably handmade in Mexico. 3.5-3.75” flat + stretchy, 3” flat inner width 6x34x2 mm on average slices/pieces of shell, some sections are thicker because of the way the shell grows
