New vintage red tusk pendant charm Polished Rusty red brown. Inclusions: Lighter striping near the point and faint dark stripe near cap. Famous tusk or horn or tooth shape. For good luck in Asia. Originally thought it was a semiprecious gemstone like Carnelian, Agate, Jasper, “Red Jade” but I think it’s acrylic or lucite. It’s warmer, lighter, smoother than expected of real stone. Tusk: C. 1.25” long x 11 mm at widest x 5 mm at thickest Gold tone cap: C. 11 mm x 5 mm x 2 mm fold over Bail: C. 2x6 mm New vintage c. 1970s. Acrylic ??? (it’s really hard for me to tell!) Probably from Asia. There is a hallmark on the inside of the bail. I can’t make it out. Looks like various letters or squiggles or a dragon! Group photos show others in the collection.
