teecat Awh okay thanks! It's just no one in my area has them really because I'm in Chicago -_- lol. I belong in the water! It is my first love :) and I just really want to start skimming so bad!! I feel I need too!! If that makes any sense lol

teecat I've looked online at tons of them, I just don't know which one would be best for a beginner? Like should I start with a wooden flat? Or something in between would be better? Help please! :)

teecat Yes .. Lake Michigan! On certain days there's actually some pretty okay waves lol. I want something that I can use for flat skimming , but also be able to catch little waves here n there

melodycalla @teecat sorry hun idk how I missed your comment! Anyway, I'm not too familiar with lake/flat skimboarding. But I think Victoria has some decent, cheaper boards? The wooden ones are pretty junk tho.

melodycalla @teecat a lot of my friends do it. I used to surf, but my arms are so scrawny that the paddle out killed me! Skim requires zero paddling haha!
