@ralfderrick4225 Goretex still works. I also renewed surface so the water just bead right off.

@ralfderrick4225 this jacket I got in brand new condtion. Goretex membrane is of course working. Water can’t get in and the steams can get out. I suppose they last forever as long you didn’t tear the membrane. However if you referred to the water beading off effect. Don’t worry I have treated it. This is basically 99% brand new.
