kitschyq Hi there. Great closet. I’m interested in your Roberto Coin set. Usually RC is stamped with his name, or 1226vi as I think someone else asked about. From your responses it doesn’t sound like you see these. Do you feel pretty confident these are authentic? I know Poshmark authenticates- I’m just trying to determine what I am comfortable offering. altonfamily @qcloset50 I personally purchased both items. The necklace was purchased at Nordstrom and the earrings at either Saks or Neimans. I have other Roberto Coin jewelry and none of them have that stamping. The necklace clearly has the ruby signature and the earrings are small so it is hard to tell on those. You offer is just too low for both pieces

altonfamily @qcloset50 There is a diamond in the center of the necklace and a diamond in the center of each earring. I am not sure if the chain is stamped, but I believe it is. Would have to look with a jewelers loupe. I really do not want to go below $1000.

rbmartin1110 I wanted to thank you for telling me that vca malachite necklace was a fake! I do have a question, would you say most of the vca listings on here are fake? The prices are extremely cheap and I know how expensive the original ones are. I am trying to find a vca necklace, but definitely don’t want to be scammed! Thanks!

altonfamily @rbmartin1110 All of the ones that are cheap are fakes don’t buy them. They often use real pictures but you get a cheap replica from China. I have found real VCA on here unfortunately is over retail prices because of Poshmark fees. My suggestion if you really want something is to buy directly from VCA or retailer like Neiman Marcus. You will spend less then on here and get a brand new piece with certificate of authenticity filled out for your purchase.

altonfamily @rbmartin1110 The cheapest necklace is the Sweet Alhambra with one motif around $1450 and cheapest bracelet with one motif is a little bit less. The regular Alhambra motif is a little larger so those pieces are more. The best way to see and compare prices is the VCA website. Some Poshmark sellers are saying certain pieces are discontinued but I have seen them for sale.

altonfamily @rbmartin1110 I would wait until you can afford it and get the real deal. I personally have the sweet Alhambra necklace and love it. I thought it was the most reasonably priced piece. I bought mine through special order with Neiman Marcus same price and you get everything which included box, pouch and certificate

altonfamily @rbmartin1110 I have been reporting the listings as many as I can and also the sellers that have multiple replica listings. But there are just so many it is like whack a mole you hit one and then two more pop up. Hopefully Poshmark will eventually get it handled. You should look at the VCA website so many beautiful pieces and you can see the amount of styles they have is amazing.

I try to disclose everything about each item amd picture it in my listings but seems people still want to return with ridiculous accusations! Thanks again for this! altonfamily @pocket19282 I videotape however when I had a claim there is no way to submit it through the complaint. They only accept pictures. Instead video has to be submitted through general email and then try and get them to consider it with the claim. So do both. Thorough description, lots of pictures and measurements are the best protection

natalia_zabava i know.lol......if you look at my comment under that hat- i made id clear that i aware of the fact that its not authentic....I am not happy about all these things on this platform,,i wanted it for my daughter,( she is kinda young to buy her the $600 real thing,,,, of course i know what's going on.Because of these fakes- Poshmark now doubts the real ones....its unfair and irritating.

altonfamily @natalia_zabava There are some real ones on here however they will be a few hundreds dollars. They have to have the correct tags inside. If it is new must have hang tag on the thick blue cord, never on a little skinny string. Also I look at stitching on logo because the stitching is often off on the fakes.

natalia_zabava as i said- i knew its fake and i let the seller know that i know,,,i got enough of authentic stuff,i used to be a seller myself ....but now days i am mostly here to buy little things here and there, Poshmark charges too much,plus due to pandemic people are not willing to spend a lot....and i also don't want to sell non expensive stuff to run to the post office all the time,,,its not worth it...i made couple sales and i am done...i ve already removed my closet.

I don’t understand how some people have tons of followers yet they are selling a bunch of junk. I am very careful about what I buy on here and will not buy any really high dollar items.

natalia_zabava i only buy non expensive stuff that sometimes no longer available in a store, certain makeup,,,,, something that i do t have to return if i don't like it,,,so far i am careful.....if i need a chanel bag- i ll go tho the store..fo sure 😊...or a nice pair of boots.....and i definitely would not buy used underwear( its allowed here,i think its awful

One came back at $2050 and and I was like come on I dropped my offer by $250 which is fair and you are quibbling over $50. It is a great price I paid around $2400 so certainly not making any money. You got a great deal because everyone else was asking a lot more for the same necklace. I will ship tomorrow

altonfamily @jess_genao You are welcome it does bother me when people over inflate prices. IMO no one should ask above retail if item is new. Why pay more on here when you could just go to the store. VCA stores get different inventory in all the time. For items that are pre owned can’t expect to get what you paid. I always try and price fairly.

Got so frustrated I ended up going to a VCA store instead. Not going to pay over retail and I just waited until they got more stock.

Why don’t these sellers realize that by putting the designer name for exposure they are listing a replica. All they have to do is remove the designer name and it is not a replica. As soon as they use the name it is against the rules.
