Japanese Oshie Art – “Okina Noh Mask”
A traditional Japanese “oshie” (押絵) textile art, made by layering and lightly padding small pieces of “chirimen” crepe fabric for a soft 3D effect.
Featuring the revered Okina (翁) Noh mask, one of the oldest and most sacred masks in Noh theater, symbolizing wisdom, longevity, and good fortune. Performances with Okina are considered prayers for peace and happiness, making it a meaningful motif in Japanese culture.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The Shikishi board is slightly curved (see photos)
