Vintage Old Man of the Sea framed needlepoint made in Denmark of vibrant colours. Large framed needlepoint. 20.5" H x 16.5" wide x 1 3/4" deep. Needlepoint of this kind takes over 234 hours and then framed by a framer. If you figure $15 an hour gives you an idea of the value of a well done intricate needlepoint piece. This piece has been specifically framed and stamped on the back and travelled to Canada! Someone who lived by the sea (Denmark) to ourselves. The needlepoint piece has been preserved under a glass frame you see here. A lot of gorgeous colours of blues,browns,tans,creme, greens & grey with frame color of first brown, tan, rust and a stripe of gold lastly near the picture/glass.
