Original Dutch Oil Painting A. Hendriks Signed

To the best of my knowledge, this is an original signed oil painting by Dutch artist Arend Hendriks (1901–1951), a famed painter, etcher, lithographer, and copperplate engraver known for his detailed and realistic works. He trained at the Rijkskweekschool in Haarlem and the Hague Drawing Institute, later becoming a teacher at the Academy in The Hague. Hendriks was associated with several artist groups, including Pulchri Studio and Arti et Amicitiae.  His artworks often depict Dutch landscapes, cityscapes, and architectural scenes. This original, signed oil painting is a perfect example of his realist approach to Dutch landscapes. The painting features a tranquil Holland pastoral landscape with a meandering stream, tall trees, cows in the far distance and a pair of ducks cozied up in the foreground. Signed on front and back, likely 1940s, from Holland. The colours are autumnal and it exude a sense of tranquility. The canvas I stretched over a wooden frame and has handwritten in pencil, “end of _____ (Holland) A. Hendriks” The frame is a beautiful, thick, carved real wood and is painted gold.
