Original by Robert mcm vanity light, Robert Levi Hollywood Regency night light

This precious little night light or vanity light has been jewelry encrusted with faux pearls and glitzy clear paste stones. It has a gold gilt finish, I have not polished it. The top with a small pear shaped light bulb in a hinged cage construct. There is a light switch to the foot. It has been labelled 'Original by Robert' on the other side of the foot. The electrical chord - a replacement - is black and slightly stiff with a US outlet plug. The light works well and shines bright. The little light switch works well too. Overall this little collectible item is in great condition, especially considering it dates from around 1940-1950s. I have found one embellishment that looks to be missing a couple little pearls.  Size: 17 cm // 6.7 inches tall 'Original by Robert' refers to Robert Levy who, along with David Jaffe and Irving Landsman started the Fashioncraft Jewelry Company, New York around 1942. When Landsman left the company the name was changed to Original by Robert. When Robert Levy retired and the daughter of Jaffe [Ellen] took over, the name was changed twice more. First to 'Ellen Designs for Robert Originals' and then again to 'Ellen Designs' during the early 1980s.  The company is known for jewelry that looks like Miriam Haskell beaded work and enamel jewelry, mainly large colorful flower pins.
