smudgeposh when someone asks you to send/email pics etc to you and gives you an email address, it is first step of scammer. They will say they are buying and a chat box will pop up and ask for your credit card number to process the sale and send funds to you. The chat box is not from Poshmark; it is from the scammers.

smudgeposh same happened to me. It was my first time on poshmark and I fell for it. They billed my credit card for $300 plus dollars and the name on my visa was a cooffe company in Phillipines. I had to get credit card company to deactivte my account and I was reimbursed for the theft. I reported everything to Posh w/ copies of the chat etc and they did nothing other than remove that person's account.

smudgeposh BUYMECOFFE was fraudukent charge on my credit card and emails asking how your service was from Aaliyah. Do not respond to any emails asking you how service with Aaliyah. That is part of their strategy to get you to email them.

acupofselflove @smudgeposh ya! it was my first time on poshmark too. I think they target the newbies. my card was charged about 300 also and my credit card company called me to ask if it was me. thank goodness for them. the charges were all reversed and I got a new card. but ya, these scammers are terrible.
