Set in 1932, you play private investigator Alan P. Cameron, who leaves his home town of Chicago to solve a haunting mystery above the waters of Loch Ness. Devil's Ridge Manor is haunted by an increasing number of ghosts, and at the request of its owner, Allister Mac Farley, it is up to you to find out what really is going on.
Combining an investigation and murder mystery scenario (aka the Tex Murphy series) with a presentation similar in ways to the Myst games, The Cameron Files also includes an original musical score and uses motion capture technology to create further realism in the computer generated characters.
Loch Ness is a mystery adventure that takes place in Scotland in the 1930s. The plot centers around strange sightings and events that have been happening near Devil's Ridge Manor, including "Nessie", the monster of the lake.
Your character is a private eye from Chicago with Scottish roots who is dispatched to Scotland by an old friend of his father, Lord MacFarley. Once there he realizes that he has been left to his own resources, since MacFarley is nowhere to be found. Searching the Manor itself reveals clues to even more questions, and the suspense and intrigue increase as he digs deeper into the case.
Containing no action or arcade elements, Loch Ness is pure adventure. Similar in style as - (i.e. "Necronomicon" and "Dracula 1 and 2"), you investigate in first-person perspective, using only a mouse to travel. Pick up and use objects and solve puzzles.
