Pair of Ecuador Wood Carvings -Statuettes

A pair of vintage wood carvings from Ecuador. The statuette is of a bearded man playing a violin while sitting atop slabs of rock (his bow is missing). He wears a hat, has bare feet and a serious look on his face. The second piece is.....well I'm not sure. I don't know if its supposed to top a pole or something of that nature but it is too big to be a letter opener. The figure likely represents a highland native warrior in pre-Columbian Ecuador.
