Pair of 2 Vintage Bird Figurines, Pelican Bird Branch Leaf Made in Japan Kitsch

These are super cute, a lovely matching ceramic figurines of a white bird standing on a branch. The white bird has a brown wing with feather details. They look somewhat similar to a pelican but without the large beak. If anyone knows what these are, please let me know! Labeled "Made in Japan" on the base, these are vintage and show some signs of use but have no chips or cracks. Each piece measures approximately 3" tall.
