Panamanian Mola Cloth Bird Design Framed Wall Art Colorful Tropical Patchwork

Lovely Mola cloth art from Panama, likely made to sell to tourists. Mola is a traditional tribal art that uses reverse applique and patchwork techniques to create highly decorative shirt panels and art pieces. This one depicts a colorful bird on a branch in bright orange, blue, green, pink and black. It is framed with a simple off white mat and black metal frame. The framing style looks to be circa 1990s but the textile itself may be older. Very good vintage condition. There is a small water stain in the bottom left corner of the mat and the frame has some very slight scratches. Measures 31cm by 28.5cm
