Porcelain Pottery Bowl with Lid Cranes by Lillian Vernon, USA Mid-Century

Height with lid 4.75 in (12 cm), without lid 3 in (7.5 cm). Diameter about 5.5 inches (14 cm). Capacity 26 oz (800 ml). Excellent vintage condition, no chips or cracks. There are imperfections in handmade pottery (see photo). This vintage bowl with a lid is great for ramen or rice, but also for other foods. Presumably, it was made in the 50s and 60s under the brand name Lillian Vernon. The bowl is made in traditional Chinese style. It is not pure white, but rather the color of natural white clay. Round imprints with symbolic images of cranes, a simple geometric ornament on the border. The bottom of the bowl is unglazed and has three small notches near the edge to allow air to enter the bottom of the bowl.
