wendyinnola @nikoneko Hi darlin’!! Bet your trip is imminent? Wanted to follow up on Venice recs!! The stuff you probably wouldn’t otherwise find (nor would majority of tourists who aren’t architects) that I HIGHLY recommend are two works by the Italian master Carlo Scarpa. An easy pop-in is the Olivetti showroom (yes, they typewriter company!) right on Piazza San Marco where you’ll surely be at least once every day anyway! Exquisite and tiny and will take all of 5-10 min MAX. Don’t miss it!!

wendyinnola @nikoneko Two other works by him are even better: the front gate/ entry courtyard/ bridge, of the architecture school (IUAV), and most important! the EXQUISITE Fondazione Querini Stampalia!! Not to be missed!! Google for further details and locations!! All in Venice proper and in cool and much less touristy neighborhoods filled with cool student bookstores, cafes etc.....HAVE A BLAST!!!!!

The insertion by Scarpa of these razor sharp modern interventions into the historic fabric are startling and so beautiful. The modern and the historic side by side heighten the particular beauty of both!!! Ahhhhhh so happy for you!! Enjoy ALL!! And NO BUDGETING and NO DIETING permitted!!!! 😜

celeseges Hi fashion mentor and Poshmark friend...was talking about you with my mom this week. Niko Neko! I first wore the Walter Steiger’s around the house just cause I could. Then, on my 17 year wedding anniversary (this past Saturday), I debuted them in public for a night out with my sweetheart. Paired them with a DVF black wrap dress (that I just sold on here) and a Philip Lim Pashli in neutral. Definitely thought of you. 😊💕🌸

I bet you looked like a million bucks ⚡️❤️⚡️ By the way, I wanted to let you know I will be closing my closet from early September through the end of the year. First for travel (yay!) but then for major surgery in October with a long recovery (still in denial.) Maybe I’ll be able to reopen briefly before surgery and perhaps for a few weeks before the winter holidays, if I heal quickly. Take care!

At least the foot doesn’t need surgery, just a boot. But, all will mend just fine in time. I really appreciate your reaching out! Not the most stylish footgear ever invented, but I'm sure you're rocking it! Glad to see you back for a few weeks, and hoping your recovery (on all counts) goes smoothly (I hear recovery time is a great opportunity to plan a new vacation). :)

lifeinjeans @nikoneko She had the boot on for about 2 months, maybe a little more. You might not have to wear it as long - she's probably older than you (54) and a Diet Coke fiend. And, she was able to walk her dog even with the boot on, so it might not slow you down much after the first few days.
