jenniferboud613 I couldn’t see your email address. I’m very new to this.

geekedoutstyle Hello. The above message was sent by a scammer who wants your email-they send phishing messages to steal banking/posh accounts. Posh blocks email addresses in messages, that’s why it says check bio. I’ve reported this account. Tap the flag next to their message, then tap spam, it will remove the message (only the listing owner can get it removed instantly). Tap their name, then the 3 dots on top right to report/block. Keep all interactions on Poshmark for buyer/seller protection. Happy Poshing!

jenniferboud613 @geekedoutstyle what happens now? I went through a link process. Is my credit card hacked now?

geekedoutstyle @jenniferboud613 If you already emailed them, they usually say they bought it and send a fake sold email from Poshmark to steal your banking info, credit card and/or Poshmark account. If the item sold on Poshmark, the app would send a notification, you’d have an email with a shipping label, the listing would be marked as sold so no one else buys it, and it would be on the sales section of the app.

geekedoutstyle @jenniferboud613 I’m not sure what link you got but Poshmark doesn’t send emails with links to enter credit card info. If you did that or entered any other info that info is compromised.

geekedoutstyle @jenniferboud613 Call the number on back of your credit card and get it shut down. Also FYI to get paid from Poshmark you enter your banking info into the app, there is no link they send you and it’s not a credit card.

jenniferboud613 @geekedoutstyle this is a nightmare. I NEVER get involved in these things. I thought this was a safe site. Biggest mistake ever

geekedoutstyle @jenniferboud613 The app is safe. You have to keep all interactions on the app. There are scammers on every app and every website, not just Poshmark, that try to trick new users. Poshmark blocks emails in comments to help but they found a way around it. Be wary of any email or text message that asks you to click links. Google to see if they’re legitimate.

jenniferboud613 @geekedoutstyle thank you. I don’t think they hacked me but it’s a hassle.
