Prom Dress. Size 5. Purple.

Worn once. David's Bridal. Purple. Floor length. Strapless. The beads are real crystals that were hand-stitched by my mother to add a bit more glam. This was my dress and I loved it. I've been hanging onto it for sentimental reasons, but I nolonger have space for it and I need the money for tuition. It was extremely hot on the night of my prom and in spite of the dark colour and addition of an underskirt, I was quite comfortable and my makeup did not melt off at all. It's more lightweight than it looks. Very comfortable. Dress size: 6. By purchasing this particular dress, you may be less likely to require a tailor. I will explain. Women larger than a size 2 have more curves. Unfortunately, the modern dress size system is based off of the more "rectangular" body shape of a size 2. Women over a size 3 or 4 often need the waistline taken in to show our feminine shape. Formal dresses often don't look as pretty on us if we don't get a fitting, even though our size is just as beautiful and sought-after. This dress is a size 6 with a size 4 waist, it is more likely to fit you than a regular dress if you are a size 6. You can save money on a tailor and look beautiful by purchasing my dress. If you're worried about the size 4 waist, keep in mind that a corset or waist trainer is only $12 on Amazon and tailoring a formal gown can cost anywhere from $40 to $400. Better a waist that's too small than a waist that's too big. I hope you love this dress as much as I did!
