fantasia711 Answering your question about how to detect a scammer on Poshmark: scammer usually sends messages to your newly listed expensive items asking if it's still available, if there any flaws with a new/boutique item and always ask to get back to them via e-mail, providing e-mail quite often under the male name. Name of the scammer-buyer is usually male, mixed male-female or just random letter. Scammer-buyer is super new to Poshmark usually same month and year as it is now. Hope it helps :)

fantasia711 And usually Poshmark moderators are quiet quick at deleting these messages from these scammers! My approach is to block them right away, report non-posh transactions and spam with harassment to Poshmark and comment that this is a new scammer, at least to warn everyone on Poshmark. Awareness helps!

beechna3 Hi! I just have a Poshmark "etiquette" question sinc I'm new here! Are people allowed to increase their prices on items they have for sale? Example: if someone posts an item for $100 and they decrease it to $80 are they then allowed to mark the price back up to $100 days or weeks later?

puravidabrand @beechna3 Hello and nice to meet you. It looks like you’re doing well already. Good for you. You can list your prices at any price you’d like and change them. Some people just want to get rid of things for lower prices and some people really need to make money. If something isn’t selling, I would delete it and start over, etc. Just always be honest and courteous to others. I’m sure you are anyway. I hope that helps. 🙂

puravidabrand @beechna3 I would also suggest asking the people who have liked your listings if they’re really interested and maybe make a deal with them if you can afford it. I would do that out of respect before raising prices. I’ve raised prices out of error and no other reason. It’s really up to you. It’s a good idea to work well with others, buy from them and offer discounts when possible! Have a good weekend and take care!

beechna3 @puravidabrand Thank you! I was only asking because an item I "liked" was raised by $15 right after I made a lower offer that the person declined. Which is fine but just wondered if that is a normal thing for people to lower a price and then increase it.
