Rae Dunn is known for its simplicity. Perfectly imperfect pottery with minor flaws, imperfections and markings which add to the uniqueness and design. Her inspiration comes from the earth and she finds beauty in simple shapes, natural forms, and found objects. Her work captures the simplicity and playfulness that are the cornerstones of her own life.  Rae’s work is deceivingly straightforward. Her work is strongly influenced by the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi, the beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.
