RARE! Authentic Vintage 1960s DERU Germany Origami Leather Frog MCM Stamped VGC

RARE Vintage 1960s DERU leather frog DERU is known for their origami-like animals each made from a single sheet of leather which is folded, crimped, and sewn into shape. Stunning craftsmanship goes into each and every DERU animal. Signed with the original vintage DERU stamp - the recent DERU reproductions have a modernized stamp in a slightly different font and, while beautiful, sell for (and are worth) much less. These original DERU animals are highly collectible and the frog is quite rare (currently the only single frog I can find online), and this piece does not disappoint. It's in very good condition all around with no damage, no stains/marks, and no significant signs of wear. It smells like leather (as it should) and not musty or moldy, and comes from a non-smoking home. The leather is nice and firm which has helped it survive for 60+ years.
