RARE First Edition Norman Rockwell Artist & Illustrator Coffee Table Book

This is a huge 12”X17” coffee table book titled Norman Rockwell Artist and Illustrator, a rare vintage 1970 first edition. It is a monumental American Realist lithograph print, extra large collector's hardcover art book, and is incredibly special and unique. Huge 12.5”X17.5”X1.5” red linen covered boards, gold-tone foil embossed spine titles, and dust jacket features an expansive monograph survey of the iconic American Realist artworks of the artist Norman Perceval Rockwell ( 1894 - 1978 ). It is published by Harry N. Abrams Inc. Publishers New York and printed in Japan in 1970. The landmark volume, including two, three, and even four-page spreads, contains several “pull out lithographs’ for framing. The rare out-of-print extra large-format hardcover art book features, 328 pages, featuring 614 illustrations including 111 in full color, with many hand-tipped lithograph print plates and numerous multipage center foldouts, providing an unusually broad, unparalleled view of nearly sixty years of American social history, seen from Rockwell's enormously popular viewpoint. It is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age, use, light signs of handling, and light visible wear. The dust jacket is included, but non-perfect condition. No major imperfections inside, such as rips and tears or folds.
