RARE Guy de Pelteau Brutalist Style Large Stoneware Rooster OOAK One of a Kind vintage unusual Produced by Quebec studio potter and ceramic artist Guy de Pelteau (1932-2012). His brutalist works are very hard to find. This is an unusually large and heavy asymmetrical rooster weighing at approximately five pounds. Curlicues of ‘feathers’ create the body form (one ‘feather’ tip has broken off, as shown). Very stable and solid when standing. Measures approximately 10 1/2” tall x 8” long x 7” at widest This is most likely a vintage piece as most of his work was created in the 80s and 90s. Base is stamped ‘Guy de Pelteau Quebec’ Aside from the one broken bit, which is hard to notice, it’s in remarkably great condition. Could use a more thorough cleaning.
