These jeans belong to my Mamma. She has held onto them since outgrowing them in the 70's in the hopes that one day she could wear them again. My love of vintage clothing couldn't handle such a treasure sitting in that closet any longer! Worn only by my Mom these gorgeous high rise jeans are in mint condition, with no tears or snags and no more than light wear. The denim is heavy quality, not stretchy, but super soft.
The rise measures 11" from the top of the waistband to the seam of the crotch.
The waist measures 13.5" across.
The inseam measures 35".
I have tried to find more information on the brand Great Scott, but to no avail. All I do know is that they were made by the Wescott clothing company in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. According to my mom, she purchased them around 1968, she was only in her teens.

How long are they? I’m just under 5’4 and am just wondering if they will be way too long for me 😂

@njssss hey! I’m curious about these. I’m picking up a pair of Great Scott! Blue jeans myself later on today and I couldn’t find much information about the brand on the internet. Were they made in Canada? What era were they made?

@gsalegoblin yes they were made in Canada -- my fathers main factory was in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Great Scott jeans were huge in the 70's and 80's. i regret not keeping any!

@gsalegoblin Made in Saskatoon in the 70s these were my mom's,ŕ she took such great care of them. One of my aunties worked at the factory where they were made.

@njssss I’m getting a pair tailored down a considerable amount at the moment, the was was so beautiful I had to have them. I’m hoping they come out really nicely! Thank you for the information! I’m in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Somewhere I read something about there possibly being a factory here too? I’m not sure if that’s true.

@prairiethrifts very cool, I just got mine back from the tailor. They turned out beautifully, gorgeous indigo dye. Very happy to have a piece of Canadian made/saskatoon made history
