this stunning dress is perfectly preserved. I've had it for 20years and decided it was time to part with this piece. it's so beautiful and the pvc is still flawless! no cracking, peeling and no stiffness. lace overlay on the front and corset lacingnon each side plus a corset collar.

kellseven Hey lady, gawd this is SO beautiful 🖤. Can I ask how in the 🤬 you keep such things preserved?? I've had some heartbreaking issues with PVC especially lately... cracking, completely shredding to oblivion 😭 etc.

obscuria__lefay @kellseven all about humidity. after use I wipe it all down with a mild moisturizing hand soap and water mix, wipe it dry. keep it hung on a cedar hanger with a hermetic garment bag (leave slighty open). air it out every couple months to avoid dry rot usually I have my humidifier on that day. its a balance lmao but I've kept my pvc like new for 20+ years

kellseven @obscuria__lefay 😱🙀😱 Omgahh! I wasn't expecting a FT job! Holeee, no wonder I've got a SUITCASE FULL of formerly gorgeous, to-die-for clothes (Lip Service mostly) that are now just shredded to sh*t (but that i just don't have the heart to get rid of) 😰.

kellseven If anyone here can sew and wants to use these effed-up garments as templates, let me know!! Geez, it would've spared me so much heartache if I'd been able to ask you this 20 years ago 😖😖. Can I ask where to find hermetic garment bags and cedar-whatever-you-saids?? Thank you again so so SOOO MUCH 🖤🖤

obscuria__lefay @kellseven you can get cedar clothes hangers on Amazon, same with the bags :) your poor vintage lipservice. I try to rescue damaged ones when i can and restore them
