RED Valentino eggplant suede mary-jane platform pumps, EU41/10, new w/ flaws

RED Valentino is the more youthful, diffusion line by Valentino. Launched in 2003, it was discontinued in 2022. When I got this pair of mary-jane sandals, the red suede was badly faded. There's a corner missing off of one of the lugged heel taps (see pic), which could probably be patched easily by a shoe repair. There's also a gap between the leather sole and the toe section of lugged sole (see pic), but again, this is on the bottom of the shoe so no one will see it. I considered filling the gap with some black rubber caulking, but I'd already spent several hours on this pair by then. I re-dyed the suede with a combination of Angelus suede dyes, and it turned out this lovely deep eggplant colour. The heel measures 5.25", offset by a 1.75" platform. I'm not sure how the heel tap damage happened, but I'm guessing these were a display sample. They have never been worn, and they look fantastic in the new, improved color. In spite of the invisible flaws, these shoes still scream Valentino with the classic proportions and silhouette. Marked size EU41, they're slightly loose on my size 9.5 feet. They will definitely fit a size 10 with at least medium width feet, probably up to a size 10.5.
