ROBERT J. MAY Jack Russell Fox Terrier Professionally Framed Matted Print

Jack Russell Fox Terrier head study giclee print from an original gouache painting by Robert J. May. Professionally framed in a brown wood grain frame and matted with a charcoal grey mat to compliment the print. Printed on 310g textured watercolor paper in long-lasting pigment based inks to achieve an appearance very close to the original. The measurements of the frame are approximately 12" x 10.25". Excellent condition. There is a tear to the paper on the back of the picture (please see the last photo), which can not be seen when displayed on the wall. Robert May was born in Wantage, Oxfordshire, in 1951 but now lives and works on the South coast of England as an animal artist. Robert spent approximately 15 years as a graphic artist, painting animal and landscape studies in his spare time, which were sold through local galleries. In 1983, he decided to concentrate on the Fine Art aspect and was subsequently commissioned to paint a range of greeting card designs depicting dogs.
