Rae's inspritaion comes from the earth, and she finds beauty in simple shapes, natural forms and found objects. Her utilitarian approach to designing ceramics is strongly based on the Japenese aeshetic of Wabi Sabi ; the beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.
