deannamccarthy Is this waterproof or more water resistant?

nancysimon884 @deannamccarthy this coat was sold as waterproof but there is nothing on the tags. However it does have the waterproof zipper and sealed seams. But, and I say but … it has no zippers or flaps on the pockets so I’m sure water can get in there which is kind of odd considering the other features.

deannamccarthy @nancysimon884 that wouldn’t bother me, but I’m wondering about the material? Is it raincoat material like a yellow slicker, or something else?

nancysimon884 @deannamccarthy it is not plastic like or rubbery. It’s more like a waxed weave. I posted a new pic which you can zoom won.

deannamccarthy @nancysimon884 thank you. I’m not really familiar with the material. Did you wear it in the rain? I’m looking for more of a traditional raincoat, but this could work as long as it’s fairly waterproof. Like I don’t need to be able to wear it in a downpour, but I want something that’s not going to soak through waiting for the bus or something like that. Also are the flowers pink or red? I thought pink, which would match my rain boots, but in the photo you added they look red.

nancysimon884 @deannamccarthy I did wear this once only. The material did not leak through. However I think the flowers look more red than pink. Pink boots ? How stylish!

deannamccarthy @nancysimon884 yes a pair of pink Hunter boots I got at an absolute steal! They are a deeper pink, but very definitely pink. On my screen the flowers look to be pink, except that last photo. Thanks for all the extra information! Could I trouble you one more time for a chest and arm length measurement? I’ve been looking for a raincoat for YEARS.
