Rare 1940's Coro Gold Oyster and Pearl Brooch

After some investigation, I am able to date this Coro piece to the 1940's by the style of signature. It is a shiny gold-toned oyster sea shell with a single baroque pearl at center. This is a hand-made brooch, and the detailing is hand-carved, meaning no two are exactly the same. This pin is made in the style of "new look", a departure from functional, practical design and into the reflection of feminine beauty of the 50's. This is a venus pin. A pin made to enhance the beauty of a woman.
