Rare, 1980s Vintage Loake Loafer, Gray Antelope/Kudu Hide, Made in England, 8 UK

Vintage 80s Loake venetian loafer, men's size 8 UK, 8.5 US. Hand-crafted in England using beautiful Antelope/Kudu leather with leather soles. The classic style of these shoes is taken to another level with high-textured Antelope to create a casual yet refined slip-on, making for an easy transition from lunch, to the boardroom, to the dance floor; a perfectly versatile shoe for any semi-formal to formal occasion. This leather breathes well, stretches and returns when needed, and is incredibly durable. This pre-owned pair has been meticulously cared for and has seen only careful use. The leather uppers are still soft, supple and virtually perfect, with no major scratches, tears, cracks, etc.; there is one small tear at the top of the left heel that has been professionally repaired (see pics). The leather soles have a little wear, although they can be re-soled by any cobbler to add years. With a little care now and then, these shoes could easily be shoes for life.
