Rare Antique Atlas China Stoke on Trent Grimwade Geese Teacup and Saucer

This piece is quite rare, and as you can see by the photos, unusual as well. The orange pattern with white geese is not the usual choice when it comes to styling teacups. Based on the mark on the base, this was made sometime between 1930 to 1936. The use of the orange with black accents, along with the choice of geese, definitely makes this an excellent statement piece/addition to one's collection. As you can see in the photos, there are many scratches and fading. There are also some small blemishes on the interior of the cup and base of the saucer, which look to be from when it was painted.
