Beautiful original Royal Worcester Mask Jug that dates back to 1760-70. The bottom of the jug shows the blue Royal Worcester of London England mark, the crescent moon mark of Dr. Wall from the 18th Century.
This lovely vase/jug is embossed with the Cabbage Leaf Decor. The floral blue pattern is called Cabbage Leaf and was printed in cobalt blue in natural floral sprays, on soft porcelain under a glaze. Fancy scroll handle and a Bacchus mask/mascarone face relief to the spout as shown. The mask spout is so unusual!
This piece is very old and has sustained a visible repair to what appears to have been a break in two, as shown in the photos. There is also a small chip on base and a flea bite on the spout. Even so, it is a lovely display piece given its age.
