A prime example of Robert Larin (1968 - 1972) “Brutalist” jewellery.
Silver-Plated Pewter and signed.
Robert Larin was a Canadian Jewellery designer that produced his spectacular pieces in Montréal for about four years. Using the lost wax method, the vision, craftsmanship, and Modernist design earned Lorin a strong following and made him the G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) of the Brutalist style.
According to an article by Roberta Berg, Larin hired extensively in the deaf community, so most of his workers were deaf. In the noisy workshop, even those that could hear used sign language.
This is a striking example of Larin’s artistry. Brutalist is strongly collected for its artistic beauty.
