Crafted from 100% pure wool for warmth and durability, this piece features traditional pleating, a secure button closure, and authentic tartan pattern in red, green, and blue tones. • Size: Approx. 32” waist, 27” length • Material: 100% Pure Wool • Care: Dry Clean Only • Features: Pleated design, authentic tartan pattern, two button closures (one fabric-covered button missing but easily replaceable) • Made in Canada This skirt is perfect for fall/winter styling, heritage events, or anyone who loves classic plaid fashion. Condition: Excellent vintage condition overall; one fabric-covered button missing cap, as shown in photos. The official tartan of New Brunswick was commissioned by William Aitken, Lord Beaverbrook in 1959 and designed by the Loomcrofters in Gagetown, New Brunswick. The colours are: forest green for lumbering; meadow green for agriculture; blue for the coastal and inland waters and an interweaving of gold, symbol of the province’s potential wealth. The red blocks signify the loyalty and devotion of the early Loyalist settlers and the Royal New Brunswick Regiment. The brown band commemorates the ‘beaver’ from Lord Beaverbrook the press baron who is said to have commissioned the first weaving.
