Jeanette glassware was popular during the Great Depression (1929-1939) as a way for manufacturers to stay in business Originating as a bottle plant in 1898, Jeannette Glass became a major producer of Depression glass, including pink varieties made from 1928-1938. Many pink Jeannette Depression glass pieces, including teacups, feature a "Cherry Blossom" pattern with a floral border and a large cherry blossom design While some green Depression glass patterns are common, pink and yellow pieces, like the one pictured, can be rarer and more valuable due to limited production.
