Rosie Godbout has changed the world by dressing it. Weaver, felt maker, visual artist, teacher and self-taught creator, since 1978 she has produced wearable artworks whose beauty and originality are celebrated internationally. Her works are now kept at the Musée des métiers d'art du Québec, in Saint-Laurent. A poet of textile and colour, Rosie Godbout invented a new way of making with materials as old as time. Someone who loves to transform materials with her bare hands, Rosie Godbout sets the beauty of ancestral methods against the framework of decidedly contemporary pieces.
