Rare Vintage Mink & Broadtail Persian Lamb Coat (small)

This elegant coat was custom-made for the previous owner in the early 1970s and carries her monogram on the beautiful lining. At first glance, the expertly stitched broadtail persian lambs' fur appears to be black, but under the light you can see rich dark brown tones, which go beautifully with the dark chocolate brown of the mink at the collar and on the deep inverted pleats and the hem. It comes with a broadtail persian lambs' fur belt. The pleats, which start at the upper thigh, open widely, making it easy to move in and to get in out of a car. The coat was professionally stored each summer and worn only on special occaisions, showing very little wear - only on the inside of the cuffs and on the belt. (see photos). The measurements are: shoulder to cuff, 21.5" (54.5cm), shoulder to shoulder 17.25" (44cm), shoulder to hem 40" (101.5cm), waist 35" (89cm), circumference of the hem is 92 inches (233cm) and belt 61" (152cm).
