Marilyn was a writer and photographer for Datebook magazine and accompanied the Beatles on all three of their American tours.
The hair was originally obtained by her as all four Beatles had their hair trimmed while relaxing around the pool of their rented home at 2850 Benedict Canyon, Los Angeles on either August 25th or 26th 1965. John Lennon told her they wanted to look "spiff" when they met the king. The Beatles met Elvis Presley the evening of August 27th 1965. Of the four Beatles she was closest to John and he talked the other three in to letting her have the hair.

Each strand is presented inside a 5 x 3 inch plexiglass holder with a certificate of authenticity and a color image of the band In fine condition.
